I’m Tyler Dillon—a Commercial Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, and founder of Tyler Dillon Aviation, based in St. Petersburg, Florida. I got my start in aviation through aircraft detailing, which led to my first business and quickly expanded into supporting day-to-day operations around the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) environment. Over the years, I’ve worked with multiple flight schools and alongside small aviation companies, brokers, and owner-operators, building experience across 40+ makes and models of piston and turboprop aircraft. Today, I fly professionally as a coorporate pilot and I’m also a flight school co-owner, where I oversee training and mentor pilots and instructors to help develop the next generation of safe, capable aviators.
I bring over two years of hands-on maintenance experience working closely with a local A&P shop, which helps me bridge the gap between operations and maintenance planning. With multiple years of aircraft management experience, I specialize in piston aircraft operations—helping owners and companies stay safe, compliant, and mission-ready through disciplined risk management and clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). One of my specialties is helping clients create economic corporate aircraft ownership, including selecting the right platform and outfitting/modifying aircraft to be safer, more capable, and more cost-effective. Above all, I put the client’s needs first, and I treat every aircraft like it has my name on it.
